South Beach Miami Information

The southern three miles of Miami Beach is what we call South Beach. Here you will find the classic style building of the 20's and 30's. Most are from 5th up to 23rd streets. The Art Deco district include Euclid Ave. and the ocean. Even among the buildings here you will find different styles Art Deco, Modern and Streamline. The buildings along Ocean Drive are the ones most people are used to.

South Beach Miami / Information

Ocean Drive at night is the area that becomes the place to be in Miami. The widened sidewalks allow the cafes to expand out. Many of your night clubs are located in this area that seems to come even more alive as the night gets longer. Next over you find Collins Avenue with its fashion chains and more Art Deco Hotels. Then the next street over you find a slightly different look with coffee bars and thrift shops.

South Beach, has is without a doubt one of the hottest (if not the hottest) place in Florida to travel. Credit could be given to Will Smith's song or Don Johnson's suave slant South Beach is the place to be and be seen. What makes this small stretch of beach just off Miami the in place to be.

The South Beach area can accommodate over a quarter million visitors, that's three times its population. Unlike the old days when it was mostly a retirement community it is now all tourist oriented with new hotels and clubs springing up all the time. With each trying to out do the others with its own artistic style, making your first decision on where to stay a challenge. The Art Deco District with its pastel colors are just a small but important part of the famous South Beach scene.

The Clubs cater to the rich and the beautiful come to play. Most woman will not find it hard to get into them, but for the guys you may have to pay to play. So is it worth it. Well the music is the best, The clubs interior designs are lavished, beautiful women dressed to kill plus celebrities are always dropping in. The best thing is that they all have it.

When you recover from your night out at the Clubs your fancy may turn to a good shopping spree. The shops along Collins Avenue are just the fix you are looking for. You will find Gucci, Nicole Miller, Armani Exchange and Louis Vuitton plus many more. A little on the high end but what the heck your on vacations. Do some searching around and your will find a good mix of more affordable boutiques.

South Beach offers a unique outdoor cafes diners are enticed by the sunshine and warm, gentle ocean breezes. South Beach is internationally known as a vacation paradise for young and old. The use of bold colors and geometric shapes are striking as you arrive downtown. Whether you like to swim, shop, eat, party or check out art, South Beach has got it. Join the trend and go. You'll never want to go home. Everyone deserves a Miami good time once in awhile.
